Uncle Aad & his love

Aad and Hella Twigt have been roaming the world's oceans since 1971. Aad Twigt, born July 24, 1947, began his seaman career in 1963. Hella Janiczek, born March 11, 1949. They met at a wedding in 1969. Two years later they got married themselves and they have traveled the world together ever since.
Aad Twigt's travels are the source of inspiration for everything you can eat, drink and experience on the Pub boat.

Rogier Geurtsen

Rogier is our culinary mastermind and the thriving force at Uncle Aad's pub boat. He prepares the most delicious dishes, takes care of the boat and the staff and is always cheerful despite all his duties.

Pip Zee

Pip has been working at Uncle Aad's pub boat since August 2019. What started as a job as a server after her Atlantic sailing trip, turned into an indispensable position at Uncle Aad's. Pip helps and advises you with all the parties and fun things you can do on the pub boat and RIBs and in Rotterdam.

Marc van der Veen

Marc is the creative brain behind Uncle Aad's Pub boat. Since 1992 he has been inventing various leisure concepts for catering, party ships and company outings. His passions are travelling, eating and drinking and discovering other cultures. Together with his girlfriend Jo he travels the world and brings all the good things of the world back to the Netherlands where he likes to share everything with you.
