Aunt Jo here! When Aad and I got together, we got more financially stable. We finally had money to go to the most delicious restaurants. After a tiring day in the harbor he made an extensive lunch that we could both enjoy. A salad with goat cheese and raspberry vinegar or wraps with falafel are my all-time favorites when it comes to lunch.
Tulum is probably the most touristy place in Eastern Mexico, and they definitely understood something right: tacos! There are taco stands everywhere you go. Jo and I couldn’t resist, we started a taco tour! Late in the afternoon we started our tour of downtown Tulum determined to find the best taco. We ordered their specialty at every stand we visited. After 8 tacos spread over 4 hours of walking our bellies were completely, hoping that we can do this all over again some time.
A real step back in time. This is how entering the Medinah in Tangier in Morocco felt. The sellers takes you to all their friends in the hope that you spend your money there. But alas, the boat is already too full. There wasn’t even a place for hand-woven cloth anymore! Disappointed that he couldn’t sell me anything, he drops me off at a restaurant. How lucky, because I definitely wanted to stay here! There were richly decorated cushions and colorful statues everywhere. A warm place to enter. The smell from the kitchen filled the room. We had to try this! Puff pastry snacks, lentil tagine, bell pepper soup and salads. I will never forget the table full of festive dishes.
The discount is calculated over the price of the boat rent and the drinks. The price can vary per package. You don’t get a discount on the food.
